NIGHTTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE

I created three ways to choose from to make your nighttime skincare routine easier.

ARE YOU AN S, M OR L?

Although I am a skincare lover, I am not a supporter of endless skincare steps and products. I believe in quality over quantity. In practice, this means fewer steps in the skincare routine and only products with a high concentration of active substances. And, of course, cleansing will always be indispensable in your skincare routine.

WHY A SEPERATE EYE CREAM IS UNNECESSARY

In my skincare routine options, you will not find an eye cream. The skin around the eyes is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face. Therefore, a mild product without irritating substances is needed. But! Your whole face would appreciate this. So all you need is one cream suitable for your eye area and the rest of your face.

WHAT EXFOLIATING DOES FOR YOUR SKIN

Exfoliating is a fancy word for removing dead skin cells. Skin cells that constantly accumulate on your face make your skin dull and sallow. With skin ageing and sun damage, your skin has more trouble removing dead cells, making exfoliation necessary.

Peelings with acids like glycolic, salicylic or lactic acid make it easier for dead skin cells to be released from within, leaving your skin looking fresh, radiant and smooth.

TIPS

  • Your skin needs to get used to exfoliating, so start slowly.
  • Removing dead skin cells makes the stratum corneum (the top layer of skin) thinner. Because of this, your skin becomes more sensitive to sunlight. So protecting against sunlight becomes even more important when using exfoliators.
