This time: With cold water and/or a toner, you can close your pores.

Rinsing your face with cold water and using a toner after cleansing is often said to close your pores. This is well-intentioned advice, but unfortunately, it’s not entirely accurate. Toner doesn’t close pores but can help remove excess dirt and oil, leaving your skin clean and refreshed.

Fact: Pores cannot open or close themselves; for that they lack something crucial: muscles. Do you want to prevent your pores from becoming bigger?

3 tips:

Tip 1. Pores that are clogged with sebum can look more prominent. Using a chemical exfoliant now and then can help. Chemical exfoliants work by breaking down the’ glue’ that holds dead skin cells together, allowing them to be easily washed away. This helps keep your pores clean and less noticeable.

Tip 2. Good quality serums with vitamin A can be beneficial. Use this in the evening after cleansing. Vitamin A, also known as retinol, can stimulate the production of new skin cells and collagen, which can help to reduce the appearance of pores over time.

Tip 3. A loss of collagen due to too much sun exposure is an essential cause of larger pores. So, sunscreen 365 days a year.
